Although it is sleek and scream 'MAC,' it was very hard to squeeze the product out and too much product was dispensed every time. My makeup just wouldn't sit well on top of it, and I would end up with patchy foundation. I stopped using this product not just because it didn't do anything for me, but because it interfered with my makeup application. There was no magical glow, no healthy sheen, and it seemed nobody else saw anything either. I applied it underneath my foundation, mixed it with my foundation and applied it on my cheekbones over top of my foundation. I tried this product every way I could think of. I decided that a trip to Wellington was the perfect excuse to hand over my $67 in return for a healthy glow that would have everyone complimenting my skin.
It has a massive hype surrounding it and even the BR beauties have written rave reviews.
I was pretty damn excited to try this product. The subtle shimmer as a final-touch highlighter. In addition, it clogged around my nose and broke me out. In short, I found that this cream, on my skin, had very little effect unless applied over foundation on key points. Of the three, the cheapest one is the best! Don't get sucked in by the brand name. I have three creams that claim to do the same thing as this - one in the same price range, one half the price, and one a third of the price. I tried mixing this with the foundation and it just ended up looking smeary and not sitting right. Unfortunately when you apply foundation over the top, that effect vanishes.

On first application to bare skin it DOES provide a pretty shimmer. The cream itself is reasonably thick, with a pale pearlescent pink tinge to it. The tube itself is a silvery grey, with the logo in black and a black snap-open dispensing cap which helps with ease of product extraction, but does clog and gunk up, requiring cleaning.

MAC Strobe Cream comes in a characteristically simple and elegant MAC tube. I'd heard this was phenomenal but literally the only use I can find for it is as a highlighter on my cheekbones, and even then it's not special.

Thank god that I only have a 30 ml of it, and that the 30 ml was only about $16 Duty Free in HK, because otherwise I'd have wasted money on this, I think. I had super high hopes for this product, but it just doesn't really work for me. I don't feel a huge desire to repurchase. but not anything wonderful or jaw dropping. I just feel as though this product promises a lot and I think it's nice. perhaps it's just a product mismatch due to my skin type? I didn't find it made any difference to the makeup application by applying it before hand aside from hydrating the skin and giving a more radiant, glowing look but, maybe that's all it's supposed to do and perhaps it didn't really work for me because I have oily skin as I didn't notice any difference really, whereas it did add a pretty glow to my sister-in-laws face. I didn't notice any jaw dropping differences with this product. which is always good before makeup application. I did love that peachy sheen (small con, for me personally I didn't feel like that beautiful 'strobe' sheen was prominent on me, whereas, I tried it on my sister in law and it was a lot more obvious). it was most certainly hyped up and looked beautiful! I got the colour peach lite cause I love my peachy shades! Its really pretty.I died a few times over when I saw this product coming out. Strobe Cream provides a flawless shine and luminosity. Although it doesn’t have glitters, the M.A.C. You only need a ti-nee bit of the product on the areas I’ve mentioned since it goes a long way. You apply it just like your moisturizer but on the highest points of your cheeks, the tip of your nose and chin and the highest point of your forehead. Personally, I love glowy skin and it could be really challenging to use powder highlighters since we could tend to ever do it and end up looking like a disco ball. So I think this would work better when mixed with heavy coverage foundations first prior to application.Īnother use I have for it is as a highlighter. But I did notice that once you try to build up your foundation the shine disappears. It gives my foundation a pearlescent finish. The foundation gives me a great finish on its own but the glow that the Strobe Cream gives me is lovely. If you’ll look closely it makes my skin look more alive and natural. Its not obvious in this photos but applying the Strobe Cream gives a huge difference in my look. My foundation has a matte finish but with the Strobe Cream underneath, there’s a certain glow. It makes the foundation glide on smoothly and amplifies your look. It gives you the glow from within effect and makes my dull and lackluster skin look healthy.
